I have a mobile/cell phone that I’m planning on sending to one of those recycling sites.
It has a few scratches to the screen and bodywork, but no cracks or buttons missing. The last time I used it it did turn on and work, but the battery is now dead so I can’t test this right now (and I don’t have the charger anymore).
Is this phone classed as working or not working? Reading the guidlines as to what a “working” phone is, it says nothing about scratches or batteries. I don’t want to send the phone off as working and not recieve payment, but if I send it off as not working and I could have got a lot more for it…
I haven’t sold it on ebay or anything (I know you can generally get more money doing it this way) because I don’t have the cables, box, charger or anything, so it actually works out that I can get more money selling it to a recycling site.

Also, if you have done this before – can you tell me if its worth the effort?

They are a “green” cell phone provider. They have a great mission, planting trees and helping users recycle old cell phones. I’d love to join but I worry about how good the coverage will be. Any info?
