What can we do to make neighborhoods and cities have more recycling centers and have the city participate in more recycling programs
It seems to me that recycling would benefit the economy both in job creation and the reduction of imports (for example aluminum). Is this true, if so why don’t you hear more about it.
I live in Miami, FL. They gave us a recycling bin, however they only pick up recycling twice a month. We then end up having to throw away products that should be recycled because we have no space in the recycling bin. I just want to know how I can get my city to pick up the recycling more often?

Today at work the office managers came through and placed little blue recycling bins at every desk for our office of 250 workers. Claiming that having individual bins will help us increase the amount of materials (papers, bottles, cans, etc.) we recycle, I feel like we are in the negative now because of all of the plastic used to create these bins. Does anyone know the equivalent amount of material that needs to be recycled to offset the materials used to manufacture the blue bins?
I think more people would be willing to recycle more if it were more convenient. So what can we do to help? Should more laws be passed at the national level to promote recycling?
