How Do I Put Music Into The Recycling Bin Instead Of Just Deleting From Itunes?

I’m currently in the process of cleaning up my iTunes library. It was moving to the recycling bin, but I’ve just noticed my computer has stopped doing this and is only deleting from the library, so that the files are still on the computer. How do I change this, and is there a way to put the files I’ve already deleted into the recycling bin?
