What to do with your old cell phone?
That is a question faced daily by thousands of cellphone users. The average length of time people keep cell phones is only 1.5 years. And, a third of people switch their phone company each year, which requires a new phone because we are the only country in the world in which cell phones from one company aren’t compatible with phones from another company.
So this translates into millions of unused mobile phones that could actually be put to good use.
Need a cell phone, like yesterday, but can’t afford the high new prices?
Or maybe you just refuse to pay so much for a new cellphone?
Well, look no further!
Now you can get an almost new, used or remanufactured, mobile phone for far less!
And this will make you feel good and fuzzy all-over, since you’ll be making your contribution to the wireless recycling effort.

An alternative to selling your old cell phone to be recycled, or donating it, is of course just to sell it to someone else.
The best venue to do so is probably eBay. If you don’t have a seller’s account yet, sign up now – it’s free, easy and fast! You could literally be auctioning off your old cellphone within minutes from now.
Such direct selling can of course also be considered as a way of recycling, since your phone is re-used and does not land up on a landfill.
Lawmakers could soon vote on a bill that would require handsets sold in Maine to carry warning labels about the
potential link between cell phone radiation and brain cancer.
i used to own a nokia 7360, but it got stolen. I had everything stored in that phone: private home address of my friends, confidential information, passwords, and other private information both personal and of my company. Fortunately, before it got stolen, I remember to have deleted all the private information because I transfered everything to my computer. I may just be paranoid, but does my phone have a sort of “recycle bin” like in windows wherein all deleted files might be restored and be seen by whoever stole my phone? pls do reply. thanks.
Is there an instance that your old (almost a year unused)cellphone number will be recycled by the company? assigned the same number to the new user?

No, it’s jsut TOOO big. and plus, if someone misses, you might get garbage in your face.. yeah people will throw garbage into a recycle bin even, sometimes. Plus, who wants a big bin hanging next to their face? on top of that, ti’s a lot of strain on your hands isn’t it?
What??
Ohhhhhh…..
I’m not aware of one, but a PDA type cell probably does such as Blackberries, Treo’s with Palm on them or any that use Palm or Win CE/ XPe or similar. Anyone else know for sure?
