How To Start A Recycling Program At My Community College?

I have joined the student senate at my community college (way out in Tucumcari, NM) and one of the concerns is that the school uses way too much paper, hence the recycling. But I can’t find any place near by that would recycle paper, what should I do? PLEASE HELP

Is Recycling Really Good For The Environment?

So, to recycle a can, I first need to wash it out so it can go in the bin. Then the huge recycling truck has to drive and pick up all the bins and deliver them. And then energy is used to sort and turn that aluminum into a raw reusable form.
I would love to help the environment. I just would like some pointers to actual data regarding whether the resources used and pollution created in recycling is worth the end result of the can not ending up in a dump.

Is Recycling Plastic Good For The Environment?

We are having a debate about recycling plastic, and whether it is good for the environment to recycle or not.
A reason why is would not be good for the environment is that is uses more energy to recycle something than it does to let it decompose naturally. Is this true? Please provide internet sources.

I live in Spain and I notice that they have recycle bins in the cities. I wonder if it is like in the United States where you can find local recycle centers to make a little pocket cash. Does anyone know anything about Spain and recycling because it seems impossible to google it. Thank you.

Is There A Recycling Difference Between Thicker Retail Shopping Bags And Thinner Walmart/publix Bags?

I want to recycle my retail bags like from wetseal, charlotte rousse, pacsun, etc. I can’t find what # plastic it is on the bag but it definitely feels thicker than regular grocery bags. Is there a difference, or can I just put it in the same recycling bin as regular grocery bags?
